BATH – A SPECIAL PLACE
The only city in the UK designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Bath is a uniquely special living environment. Combining as it does, the benefits of a wealth of beautiful buildings, green open spaces, with a centre of easily discovered proportions and sophisticated and stimulating shopping and restaurant facilities. New technology frees many from the occupational constraints of working in London, and Bath, with its exceptional quality of life, has been the incubator for a whole range of successful companies, such as Future Networks, Paragon Publishing, IPL and Kramer Systems.

THE FACILITIES
For last minute shopping there is the Tesco Metro 200 metres away. For more serious everyday shopping, Bear Flat is close at hand. Bus stops on Midford Road and Frome Road, and the nearby park and ride delivers you to the City Centre in minutes. A wide range of schools, including St Gregory’s, Beechen Cliff, Ralph Allen, Prior Park and Monkton Combe, and Bath University are all easily accessible. Leisure facilities include the Bath Sports Centre, Bath University Olympic standard sporting facilities, and in due course, the new Spa buildings.

ST MARTINS – THE CONTEXT
The St Martin’s campus includes a series of Georgian and Victorian buildings comprising the Hexagon, the Old Bakery and the Old Stables. These buildings are being restored to provide 25 private apartments for sale, 16 key worker shared ownership apartments for sale, and 17 key worker apartments to rent. The Old Bakery will be restored as houses.
Beyond the Hexagon, on what was formally the cricket pitch will be a green and 58 new houses for sale. The remainder of the campus will continue to be occupied by the hospital, which specialises in care for the elderly.

CULTURE
Bath’s internationally renowned Music Festival has a sibling in the form of the increasingly influential literature festival. The Theatre Royal, originally the prettiest theatre in the UK, has just celebrated its 200th anniversary.
At the other end of the spectrum is the recently opened multiplex cinema complex in Kingsmead Square.

THE GREAT ESCAPE
The open countryside is a few minutes away – Combe Hay, the Midford Valley and picturesque pubs are all close at hand. The Kennet and Avon canal, Babbington House, Homewood Park are just some of the places to visit nearby.
